McConnell Dowell’s Port Kembla construction team has successfully delivered a project with a highly complex and multidisciplinary scope, showcasing exceptional coordination and expertise across various fields.
McConnell Dowell’s scope of work included the construction of a new wharf, revetment, quay wall, nine dolphins, wharf furniture, main equipment foundations, and marine loading arm platform structures.
Once operational, the facility will have the capacity to supply 500TJ of gas per day—enough to meet nearly all of New South Wales’ gas needs on a peak day. This new terminal will play a key role in supporting domestic gas supply as Australia transitions to renewable energy.
