McConnell Dowell has successfully completed the 2.4km jetty structure as part of the Mardie Salt & Potash Marine Structures project. This achievement was made possible by utilising their owned and operated canti-traveller system, which allows construction to proceed above the water, significantly reducing impacts on the diverse marine environment below.
The project has been a key driver in advancing their construction methods, delivering new efficiencies in jetty development while setting a high benchmark for safety controls through the implementation of innovative temporary works solutions.
The Mardie & Salt construction team is now transitioning to the next phase of the marine scope, which includes utilising barges for piling and large module installations.
