We’re incredibly proud to announce that the Groote Eylandt Wharf Remediation Project, delivered by McConnell Dowell, has been shortlisted for the 2026 Australian Construction Achievement Award (ACAA).
Delivered in just 12 months following Tropical Cyclone Megan, the project restored critical export infrastructure, secured the region’s manganese supply chain, and supported a workforce of 1,000 people. A huge effort by an exceptional team.
McConnell Dowell has a proud track record in this space… winning last year with New Bridgewater Bridge, and taking home three ACAA titles in the past decade.
